Idea for the Project[edit]

create an exhibit that lets multiple people get into a discussion about a potentially difficult social question.

concept[edit]

there are cards with questions (paper/wood) and answer options (e.g. color-coded; do you like ice cream? yes=green, no=blue; red=have to ask my mother)
a card can be picked and put on the "device" - task 1: detect the card (e.g. two pin connector and resistor; multiple pins and binary encoding; RFID reader)
each person on the device (min 2) gets to answer the questions with a tangible control (e.g. potentiometer, switches, dip-switch, multiple times pressing a button, putting in contact, ...)
for the detected card the controls match the question (e.g. 3 options -> poti has 3 states, LEDs as output to match the answers for the questions)
once everyone has voted there is the process of sharing the votes with the other (uncovering at once, asking questions and lowering a shield, ...)
